Old School RuneScape prices and calculators

OSRS Math puts the Grand Exchange and the sums players do around it in one place. Type an item, a skill or a player name into the search box to jump straight to it. Under the search you can see what moved on the market today, how many people are logged in, and the calculators players open most. Prices come from the latest trades, so the costs and profits in every calculator are what you would pay or make today.

What you can do here

Most pages pair a working table with a short guide written for people who actually play. The main sections:

  • Check a price. The OSRS Grand Exchange price list covers more than 4,000 tradeable items with instant buy and sell prices, margin after tax, daily volume and buy limit. Each item page adds a price chart, alch values and the examine text.
  • Plan a level. The OSRS skill calculator takes your current xp or your name, then lists every training action with actions needed and the cost or profit per xp at current prices.
  • Sort out a fight. The DPS calc compares two loadouts against a boss preset, so you can see whether that upgrade is worth the gold before you buy it.
  • Make some gp. Money making methods ranked by profit per hour, a high alch profit list and OSRS flipping margins after tax with buy limits.
  • Look someone up. The hiscores lookup shows every skill, boss kill counts and clue totals, and puts two accounts side by side.

Reading the market summary

The risers and fallers on this page are sorted by percentage change over the last day, and only items with at least 5M gp traded that day make the list, so a handful of odd trades cannot put something at the top. Even so, a 20% jump on a thinly traded item is often noise, while 8% on millions of units is news. Open the item page and check its daily volume before acting on anything you see there.

Why the calculators use live prices

Cost per xp is only useful if it is current. Herbs, logs, bones and runes can swing a long way in a week, and the cheapest route to 99 Prayer or Herblore today might not be the cheapest one next month. Each skill table works out cost and profit from today's prices, so the order of methods can change between visits.

The site covers all 24 skills, Sailing included. The live OSRS player count sits on its own page with daily and weekly charts.

Questions players ask

Is OSRS Math free to use?

Yes. Every price page, calculator and lookup is free, and there is no account to make. Player lookups use the name you type and nothing else. Bookmark the tools you use most and they are one click away next time.

Do the profit figures include Grand Exchange tax?

Yes, wherever you would be selling on the GE. Margins and flip profits take off the 2% tax, which is capped at 5 million coins per item and rounds down, so items sold for under 50 coins pay none. Old School bonds and some low-level items are exempt.

Where should a new player start?

Look up your own name on the hiscores page, then open the calculator for the skill you are training. It shows the actions available at your level and what each one costs per xp. When you need gold, filter the money making list to methods you meet the requirements for and sort by profit.

Does the site include Sailing?

Yes. Sailing was released on 19 November 2025 and is a members skill, which brings Old School RuneScape to 24 skills. Sailing levels show in hiscores lookups, and Sailing items and methods appear in the price list and money making tables.
